Conference participants will have the opportunity to board a bus and take a tour of some of the innovative housing and support programs located in Tulsa.
- The Mental Health Association in Tulsa owns and operates 649 units of affordable housing, including Safe Havens, transitional residence, permanent supported, single-site, scatter-site and independent living.
- Denver House, Oklahoma’s first peer-run drop-in center, is a portal of entry connecting many of the area’s most vulnerable citizens with community supports, including housing, health care, employment, and more.
Other potential stops on the tour include:
- The Altamont Bakery, a Housing-Faith Alliance collaboration that is an exemplary model of enterprise and social inclusion.
- EastOak, the hub of the Association’s property maintenance department, leasing, donations, and the Metropolitan Apartment Program.
